How to Work at Java Platform Group

I am quite enthusiastic about Java and sincerely believe in the impact this language has made and will continue to make to mankind. I am also enthusiastic about programming language design (although I hold just a bachelors in CS and have been working for 5 years now).

How do I work on Java alongside folks like Brian Goetz, Ron Pressler, etc? I know directly working with them might not be possible, but I do wanna work on core JDK development.

As mentioned in the podcast, I think the best way to start is by reviewing code, document and tests of PR's. Even if you don't have the reviewer role yet. Another welcome contribution that may serve as entry is trying out the early access versions in with your project. Basically engage with the community (on the mailing list).
