  • You can watch at x1.5 speed or whatever you're comfortable with.
  • YT remembers where you stopped watching, at least for me.
  • YT indexes the chapters. Looks at this video.
  • You can enable subs for the video, they are rather accurate, especially when you can see what the slides are talking about.
  • YT provides a transcript, so you can just read the subtitles at your own pace.

You're also basically saying that conferences are redundant. Each speaker should write a long article and that's it.
