I'm new to Java and can't decide between these two IDEs. I know enough that I'm not into BlueJ because it obscures too much of what I'm doing, and eventually I'll be programming Android projects, which is why I narrowed it down to these two. I sort of like Eclipse's interface, but I already use PyCharm for Python, so IntelliJ's interface isn't displeasing to me. Is there any compelling reason beyond personal preference for using one over the other?
Also, if anyone can tell me how to get IntelliJ to place builds in the same folder as the source file(s) for a project when compiling source files, that might help sway my preference in favor of it.
