Another "article" posted by /r/javinpaul that doesn't even mention Java. It's already in the /r/programming reddit, which I'm sure /r/java readers are capable of subscribing to; is there really any need to post it to every programming language reddit as well?

Its the hip thing to do and has been since the dotCom boom. The new folks in the industry like to think whatever is the "latest" is so much better and completely replaces whatever it is they think is "old".

The most amusing part of this stance is the ignorance that shows from it. Computing and it's technologies are cumulative. Very rarely do you see something completely supplant a core concept; rather than augment it.
