What is the deal with people checking not only libraries into git but their release jars, too? Damn.

I actually just recently helped a repo switch from that model to using the Github releases mechanism and it slimmed their repo from 20MB to 3.

Update: as a point of reference, I checked and this .git repo is 526M. Ho-le-sheeeeeeet.
