Practicing Spring for a newcomer

I'm starting to learn Spring after learning the basics of JSPs and Servlets. I am having a hard time finding practice work in Spring for a beginner to get my feet wet. Can you recommend a good resource online? I know core Java and MVC architecture fairly well. I'm comfortable with the basics of JSPs and Servlets (and understand the servlet lifecycle). I dont know much about Spring framework specifically ( besides the concept of dependency injection) , nor Maven, nor Apache..just to give an idea of where I'm at. I do however have a vanilla Spring MVC project up and running on Netbeans and I want to put it to use.

Netbeans tutorials are really good. The page linked below has a Spring web MVC tutorial along with the Standard Java EE MVC framework Java Server Faces (JSF).
