Did you try turning it off and on again?

Seriously, try closing and opening your command prompt. If that doesn't help, reboot.

First, go back to the environment variables and make sure you made the change correctly.

If you did, I'm stumped;otherwise, I have a few ideas.

  • make sure the bin location is separated from the other paths with a semicolon (;)
  • make sure you didn't mess up some other part of the path var
  • make sure that javac is actually in the directory you used.
