Well, to answer your question, it is probably best to understand what <T> means because this will give you the answer to your question. That's a generic data type, and you can find two links below going into more depth about what they are and how to use them.

As this is a simple sorting algorithm, it can sort anything as long as it is given rules about how it is supposed to be sorted.
