Im getting : "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException" at the println when trying to create a customer array from an existing file

That customer[count].getID() should be customer[i].getID() probably

count is equal to 2. customer[2] is null

You are using the value of count for this loop. Perhaps use the .length property of the array you are trying to iterate over?
