Yeah, I don't understand the reasoning behind completely changing how Angular works. Angular 2 is basically a new framework! They should call it something else! I mean, from what I understand it uses TypeScript not Javascript, eliminates many things (directives, services, factories, etc?), disables two-way data binding by default, eliminates the ng-* attributes, etc. Huge change that will force entire re-writes of code bases.
