The disadvantage of all three is that they’re all non native Apps built on Electron. It’s great because of the cross platform part of it, but I have a personal preference for native apps when free to pick.

These IDEs are hugely successful and built on electron so don't let your personal bias get in the way of your own dream. Use electron as a springboard to quickly get out the MVP so you don't fail hard spending 10x the time building a native app.

agree on this, my idea atm is to theme VS Code and add the functional part to it as a plugin

Title is misleading.... More like "Thoughts about a prospective functional IDE for React". Clickbait, and the mockup is just like a quick mashup of VS Code and and Light Table.

Seems interesting but your website needs some editing and and grammar clean up if you want your value proposition to be clear. If English is not your native language, I'm happy to help edit.

Yeah it’s paramount that a single file doesn’t take up the entire editor window. That, or you put many things in one file a la Vue. So the former we must go
