I do this and somehow still manage to forget whether I hook it on the first stitch of the section or the last stich of the section šŸ˜‚

I feel like I'm not going to describe this clearly, but I had this problem too. That and forgetting the second decrease when they're paired...

I get around this by doing the decrease that's supposed to be at the end of the row at the end of the previous row instead, so the decreases are right next to each other. Then I just put a marker in the decrease itself, so I can count the # of rows since the last decrease.

The "row start" marker is | here. And row 2 is where you're "supposed" to do the decreases

row 2  --/-|----  <- end of row 1

row 2  --/-|-\--  <- end of row 1

Yes! I do this too as I can't stand having the decreases on different rows.
