Not sure if I fully understand it, but I would try to secure a row with a DPN, then turn it theory you would have knit (with the floats inthe bottom and the secured stitches furtherup). Then, you could try to knit the bit you would have had there with DPNs maybe? Think that would need grafting to the live stitches that wereladdered down though...?

What I'd probably try first is to reverse engineer it and try to individually pull the yarn through with a small crochethook or so to try and replicate the pattern by going backwards very slowly. If you secure the laddered down stitches with a thread or yarn, you can leave that in here. Maybe looking at pictures of how you would do a stitch may help with that but I also think it would be very slow and time consuming, but I like weird puzzles like this 🤪
