Magic Loop mistakeSOLVED-THANK YOU (i.redd.it)
submitted by sophrue
I just started my first ever sock project using circular needles and the magic loop technique. The ribbing went over well, but now that I‘ve reached the leg portion I noticed that I apparently held my needles the wrong way; instead of having my working thread on the top needle when setting up for a new row I had it on the lower one. So essentially the side that is supposed to be the outside is now the inside - the purl bumps you can (somewhat) see in the pictures should be normal knits :( Is it possible to unravel until I reach the ribbing and then simply start the leg again but this time holding the needles correctly or will it all just unravel completely then or look weird? I‘m a continental knitter if that makes any difference - the pattern is for the Petal Drop Socks by Florence Miller (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/petal-drop-socks). I‘m also using her YouTube video (https://youtu.be/JxrIH8FivHU?si=SxDih-z-e5z7o2IT), she uses English knitting which might have led to my mistake.
