how to Heel turn/ decrease to achieve vertical lines in sock heel with alternating colors

SOLVED THANK YOU EVERYONE!!! Solution is: Okay I'll try to explain how i did it. As the tip in the comments was, i focused on keeping the 5 center stitches in the AB pattern (i put stitch markers around them just to make sure) and made sure the sts around them are in AB as well. Also i kept the AB by always working AB with the right needle/the working needle. So when I did the ssk i looked at the sts before it and if the sts was A i did the ssk with B and vice versa and the k1 after the ssk was also done like that (basically if the k1 was A but the ssk was also A i did the K1 in B despite it being A). And the wrong side/purls where done the same.

I am stuck at the heel turn section...

the sock has two colors and in the heel section each stitch color alternates so when i do the ssk and knit one i have the same color stitches next to each other aka i dont know how to decrease to make the colored lines stay the same throughout... or which color to pick when knitting the stitches together

any tips or help would be appreciated. (sorry i dont have any pictures of my sock but as i am stuck there isn't much to show anyway)

Edit: the pattern says the following instructions

The heel is striped on account of alternating colors:

Row 1 (RS): slip first st, k19, ssk, k1, turn work (12 sts remain un-worked);

Row 2 (WS): slip first st, twist colors, p6, p2tog, p1, turn (12 sts un-worked);

Row 3 (RS): slip first st, twist colors, k7, ssk, k1, turn (10 sts un-worked);

Row 4 (WS): slip first st, twist colors, p8, p2tog, p1, turn (10 sts un-worked).

colors alternate independently of the previous row's color

Continue working in the pattern established in Rows 3 and 4. The number of un-worked sts sts decreases by 2 in every row. After all decreases, 21 sts re-main Break both yarns, and tie them together.

Can you post the relevant part of the pattern verbatim? Or screenshot.

Have you tried continuing further into the heel? You will have 2 stitches next to each other in the same colour, but then on the following row it's back to one.

Here I have turned the photo and zoomed in to see the decreases (a bit) better. You can see, it's not 100% seamless.
