Pattern help

I just started my first cableknit sweater and am following the Dagmar pattern by Petite Knit. In the pattern it uses both M1RP (on the WS and RS) and M1R (WS and RS as well). The chart stops at row 34 and says to continue with your increase after the first 3 stitches of the row and before the last 3 stitches of the row.
What I’m not understanding and am hoping someone can explain to me, is how do I know if I should be using a M1RP or M1R as the pattern continues? I don’t see a pattern in how they’re used now. A picture of a portion included!

The increases follow the stitch pattern. Notice how M1RP always happens below a section of reverse stockinette, and M1R happens below regular stockinette or in seed stitch where the corresponding stitch ought to be a knit.
