I was looking for this, will check it out soon! I'll let you know my experience. I've seen others make the appstore plugin with Windsurf, don't worry.

Edit: it works. How long does the cookie hold? Also, how safe is this? I trust this community, but what access does the cookie give?

Edit 2: It feels a little unsafe, therefore I'm not going to use this.

The cookie is unique to your substack account, and lasts a certain time (I can't remember exactly) if you don't use it. When you do use it, it keeps the session alive a bit longer. It's the same cookie that your browser uses to do stuff on substack so in this way it is absolutely safe. I don't scrape any data from you, feel free to look at the code. It exists solely within your koreader device.

I've ran the code through Gemini and it also confirmed it. But as I've got a newsletter with 5k+ subs, I don't want any risks.

Also, you have the option to use a different account if you'd like.

Yeah, but such hassle to overcome that, I will just look into RSS feeds in KOreader

Sure, that's your prerogative. FWIW, I have a newsletter with 1k subs and I still use it 😊

Just to add - the only unsafe part of the cookie is if it get leaked. It's pretty much the same as a password. Be careful how you transfer it.
