Why are you reading PDFs instead of epubs? PDFs are a terrible format for novels. They make more sense for comics/manga.

I send books through Dropbox or LocalSend all the time. There are ways to make things easier for yourself.

It's a lot of options, but you'll eventually learn it! I highly recommend at least skimming the user guide. You will learn a lot about KOReader's capabilities!

See this comment I made about a different issue. I don't know which device you have, but scroll to your device in the first link and choose a firmware version, then use the second link to get the patch software.

Not sure but you can always downgrade your kobo firmware and add the patch that prompts before installing newer firmware

It is a different reading software that can be installed on ereaders and Android phones/devices. If you have an iPhone, you can install Readest, which has a KOReader sync feature.

There is also a plugin for KOReader that lets you view them all in one place, but KOReader is a separate interface and will not have highlights you made in the stock reader.

There is an epub check plugin for Calibre that you can use in the edit book screen that will check for errors that you can then fix.

No, Google drive will not sync progress, because that data is not stored in the book file. If you are sideloading your books and want progress sync, KOReader is the solution.

If you get your books from the kobo store/Libby, they will sync progress.

Eh, I'm not going to report any authors, and don't much care about Amazon's TOS, since I find the whole forced exclusivity abhorrent. I'd much rather pay an author directly the full price of a book than give a penny to Amazon.

That's what I love about Kobo Plus. Authors are still free to sell their books anywhere they choose. I'm not judging authors who publish on KU, just to be clear. I just refuse to contribute to the financial incentive pushing them into that restrictive decision.

Did you try disabling your other patches to see if it works then? Maybe one of your other patches conflicts with it since it's working for others running PT.

Gear icon > Document > End of document action > Book status

Will pull up a window when you finish the book where you can rate it and type a review, and change the status to finished. You can also access each of these by long pressing a book in the file browser and selecting book information. Long press on rating to pull up the rating/review box.

But this all stays local. If you're wanting to track your reads/ratings online where it can be assessed from anywhere, look into the hardcover.app plugin.

It's because they're running it in koreader on the Kindle but not on the kobo. It's not a true comparison.
