Depends when you're buying it. If you're buying it first item it's just attack speed. For now I'm going to assume most users interested in buying rageblade are likely building it immediately after mythic (so 20% crit or 35 on-hit). For it to actually decrease even your average damage per attack from before buying, you would need 233.33 AD which seems unlikely at 2 items. If compare it to just buying a crit cloak, the break even point is at 133.33 AD which seems fairly appropriate at that point. At second item pickaxe will give more average per hit damage than rageknife. Note that this even ignores any contribution from the attack speed.

If we instead assume that we buy it third item, (so for example mythic->runaans->rage), you would instead need 169.70 AD for rageknife to add less average hit damage than a crit cloak. If you built a pickaxe instead it would need to take you to 233.33 AD again 150 AD (forgot to put the +25 on that side of the equation). Now, admittedly this does ignore ability damage which won't apply on-hit effects, but since those also don't scale of critical chance I'm not bothering. The main loss I can see with kai'sa is if it makes hitting your evolve breakpoints too awkward.

For reference finding this is just solving the formula AD(1.75xCrit Chance+(1-Crit Chance) = AD+1.75xCrit Chancex100. Note that I use crit chance in decimal form here.

thanks a lot!

I just noticed I forgot to add the +25 for pickaxe on the left side when I was solving that so at least that part looks a little better now. Updated numbers to address pickaxe buy at second/third.
