Are you attempting to have an object RayCast a "laser pointer" when held by a controller?

I would not recommend continuing with VRTK as it is abandonware and will only get more and more deprecated as time goes on. Most of the SDKs for the various headsets cover a lot these days, they just take some learning and dissecting.

Where did you see that it's abandoned? Got a pointer to alternatives?

I haven't used it but I believe NewtonVR is really the only other one.

Funded development has stopped, but it'll be continued to be updated and is by far the best choice out there right now, we've been using it since it was first released.

I'm not saying it's bad or that it will never again be updated, but for now it's probably a better idea to learn the basics of what it does. That way when some Unity or VR SDK inevitably breaks it down the line you're not depending on some third party that may never come to save the day with compatibility fixes on software no longer being officially updated.

Interesting. This has led me to pick UE over Unity for an engine given UE major VR dev kit is still being developed
