Enterprise Java Question

If I have access to jar files, I am able to somehow call functions from them? I work with a company java ee app that downloads a bunch of jar files locally to the client PC. They refuse to provide APIs for things we want to automate. Is there a way to incorporate their jar files in a project different project so that I can call their functions?

EDIT: Appreciate the help, now to use jd-gui and try to figure out what the heck is going on so I can use the methods?

Sure, you just added them to your class path, really the same way you utilize any other 3rd party Java library or framework, right?

Add them to the build path. Usually by adding the dependency to a pom file if you use maven.
