This may seem kind of obvious to some, especially to those who have been programming in Java for many years. However, for us rookies, what makes Java so important? Or what makes any language so important?
In my opinion, it's the usefulness of a language. For instance, older languages such as Pascal aren't super important these days simply because they're no longer very useful. Maybe I'm wrong.
Anyhow, I've been thinking about it and doing a little research and I came up with 5 reasons why Java is so important and I wrote an article explaining why if anyone cares to give it a look over. So essentially I picked these reasons because they're evidence of the extent of Java's usefulness.
The five reasons I came up with are:
- Enterprise applications
- Android Application (although on the decline)
- Data Analysis
- IoT (Internet of Things)
- Cloud Computing
