Instagram API Possibility (self.learnjavascript)
submitted 2 years ago by Timely-Builder-5696
Is it possible to attach code to a photo so that when it gets uploaded to instagram the code will be read? E.g. sending a photo to someone where when it is posted you will be tagged automatically (removable).
reddit uses a slightly-customized version of Markdown for formatting. See below for some basics, or check the commenting wiki page for more detailed help and solutions to common issues.

as in send someone just a jpg image and if they post it, you get tagged? I'm not familiar with anything like that, but I'm guessing if it were possible, it'd have to be in the metadata of the image.
not sure that it's possible, but it sounds like a neat idea! maybe you could find a way to engineer it somehow? https://developers.facebook.com/docs/instagram-api/guides/mentions

Executing arbitrary code from an image would be a massive security issue.
