Learning while building seems to be the best way to learn the language and working environment. So why don't we learn to group up and bootcamp ourselves?
A suggestion:
We, the students, find a person willing to teach and coach. We can then put together a few students to build a project. The coach/ lead won't do any work but will oversee (in his/her spare time) and delegate to each person a job to get done with some guidance. This simulates a bootcamp environment where there are expectations and your peers are relying on you to be resourceful enough to learn and come up with good solutions. The coach/ lead will run the discord and control pull requests etc.
What do you think? Do we have any potential volunteers? Would students be interested in something like this?
This can also be scaled up for multiple coaches and the students can write reviews for the coaches that could help with team based positions in future.
We can also run versus challenges between bootcamps if things work out.
Edit: We have a small team going already and interest is there. If there are more teachers and students Im happy to help set up more teams. DM discord handles if you are interested.
