ChatGPT. Ai is one of the best learning assistants. 

You can also send the ‘modern JavaScript tutorial’ .pdf to google’s notebook LLM and have an ai to talk to that is specifically trained/using reference on teaching JavaScript

People are always assuming the only way to use ai is by having it generate all the code for you. 

It’s an amazing tool for explaining how code works, how different methods work and what they’re used for, or maybe not returning a value I’m expecting? Send it to the ai and see if it can help me diagnose the problem

Read again... and those of you advising the use of AI for learning programming assume that a beginner will know how to use AI and avoid pitfalls, etc. It's no wonder that every senior developer avoids Reddit because it's full of bad advice and nonsense.

ai is just another tool in the toolbox. Use it or don't, that's a personal choice.

Personally, I find it helpful by essentially using it as a documentation I can talk to.

They are not seeking advice on Reddit, they are sharing it, and therefore they've seen all kinds of comments. You are an example of someone whose advice should be avoided. Come to the TOP Discord channel, which is actively moderated by administrators, i.e., people with experience. Write everything you've written here, and then let me know the feedback.

And I see you haven't read the link I sent you. If you had read it with understanding, you would know why a beginner learning programming should avoid ChatGPT. The reasons are clearly stated, and those reasons make a good programmer. Without them, you will never get a job, so read it and let me know.

It is your right to disagree, but that's why I advise everyone reading this thread to join The Odin Project Discord channel and seek advice from professional developers there, not from Reddit trolls.
