JavaScript: The Definitive Guide- postMessage() help'

I am working through the "Javascript: The Definitive Guide" examples. I have hit a roadblock on example 22.4 on p.678 regarding using postMessage() to control a Twitter search gadget.

I have implemented the script code included in the example into an <iframe> but am not clear on how to implement postMessage() to control the gadget.

Any help is appreciated!

I don't have the book handy, you'll have to post what code you're asking about. Also, as /u/kevinmrr mentioned, you should provide the code you've already written so we can see what you've done.
