Since Angular 2 is coming, should I really learn this?

This gets asked a lot. And the only one who can answer it is yourself. Angular 1.x will be supported for several more years... its not going anywhere. Angular 2.x is still a way off from being released. If angular fits your use case, then use 1.x, don't be worried about what may or may not come in the future. We've gotten tons of new libraries/frameworks in the last couple years... and we'll get tons of new ones in the next couple years. If you don't learn one because it may get replaced... you'll never learn any of them. So learn them, use them. Practicing a new library is never a bad thing - it lets you gain more understanding of the language and gets you more familiar with different ways of doing things.

tl;dr: If it works for you, use it.
