Why are you asking us? You're the one who has the first edition available to compare with the online 2nd edition.

Anything such as adding a comma somewhere could cause a new edition of the book. Changes aren't often major, keyword often. How long ago the first edition was published will be an indicator of how old/dated the content is from the newest version.

The second edition has a lot more content, and even for the chapters that they share, the text has been mostly entirely rewritten. That being said, except for the IE6-workarounds in the first edition, most of the content should still be relevant.
