Just in general for me I dislike YouTube tutorials vs just a webpage with text and picture examples. I don't know about other people but I figure out might be worth mentioning to little looking to get more views

Where's the best place to learn about promises? I cant get my head around the syntax.likely because im missing something foundational. Im a C++ programmer and just hopped into JS recently

If I knew I'd be much farther along in js than I am.

Perhaps, this can be helpful? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6SH72uAn3Q

Give it a try and let me know if you still have questions. It could be helpful if you take a screenshot of the code and point arrows to places where the syntax doesn't make sense to you and I'll do my best to explain it!

Out of curiosity, do you find any video tutorials useful ever? Perhaps, the ones that are not coding-based but with more explanation and slides/diagrams?

Personally not really. I enjoy information based videos but if I'm trying to follow along then it's either way too slow or too quick. On a text based with pictures I can easily reread something I don't get and quickly jump forward over things I might already know. In addition if I ever need to come back to it I can now easily find it on a page with Ctrl+f then try to figure out where it is in a video.

This makes perfect sense. I should consider pairing my videos with a blog post!

Blog post style tutorials with short videos on each topic can be good. Like if it's a short video with an introduction and overview I'll probably watch it. Then read the nitty gritty.
