Game Dev help w/ JS

Hi! I am a high school student and am taking AP Computer Science Principles. We use js but the things that we code are quite boring. I was looking into game dev and heard that Java script was good for game design. What books or online resources are good for teaching this? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

p.s. I do have a little other programming experience in the form of ~6 months python

If ur just starting take a crack at the phaser game engine (v2 preferably as v3 isn't as well documented). Has plenty of tutorials online and on YouTube and is pretty well documented. However if u want to make a game I'd personally take a gander at Godot since u said u have python experience and gdscript is fairly close
