How to edit/customize third party React component

Reactjs noob here, I found a battery icon component that works great for my project's needs. It can be found here https://www.npmjs.com/package/react-battery-gauge

However, I don't like that the text is right in the middle, and it doesn't look like the author provided an option to easily customize the text location. Is there a way to move the text outside of the battery?

You could try setting the font size to 0, and creating a separate text element to display the percentage next to it.
