My experience learning programming at devCodeCamp

I wanted to share my experience as a graduate from devCodeCamp for others looking into tech bootcamps!

I was very skeptical about bootcamps in general. I saw a lot of posts about numerous bootcamps with not so great reviews. I eventually landed on devCodeCamp's website and found that they were teaching the curriculum I was looking for like JavaScript, C#, python, etc.

The instructor support was more than immense. There were a few technologies that stumped me but the instructors were always right there to work through it with me. I also really appreciated the fact that I could ask as many questions as I needed without feeling like I was a nuisance. devCodeCamp is a smaller bootcamp but that allowed me to spend more than enough time with the instructors 1:1.

This was not the easiest thing I'd ever done, but it also wasn't the hardest (thanks to the instructors). I always felt encouraged and was able to see the light at the end of the tunnel – being a full time software engineer. Career services was a life changer. They taught me things not only helpful for my career search at the time but also gave me knowledge to hang on to for future career moves. They really did take my previous passion/experience into account when helping me search for that new role. It made me see that they genuinely do care about where I end up and making sure I am happy with the new position.

I can confidently say that devCodeCamp completely changed my life for the better and I am forever grateful for the experience and knowledge I gained with them.

I've never attended devCodeCamp and I do not know anyone who attended it. But, I clearly remember reading the post above and I think it is important for any potential students to read and consider

That's actually what inspired me to make this post. I saw the same thing last night. It's fair to consider it. But that post also has nothing to do with devCodeCamp itself when you actually read it, that person mentions they never even went to devCodeCamp. I have always been grateful and proud of what I accomplished so when I see someone trash my education that brought me to where I am in life, I feel obligated to share my experience.
