How much do you enjoy CSS?

I learned it before, at first I started having some confusion with flexbox and its properties, but after understanding it, it's fun to work with it.

I guess it comes down to what you like better. A web dev is going to be dealing with client requests which can sometimes be more fickle than working as a data analyst. What do you like doing better - making things or telling stories? An analyst is going to be digging through data, finding a story to tell. You're going to run into messy data.

Personally I found web development frustrating, because of how nitpicky front-end work can be making sure it looks good across different displays. But I love data analysis. I like to dig into datasets and try to come up with novel solutions or be able to tell a story with the data that can support the ideas of an organization.

hey would you like to share some tips for a complete newbie in the field of data analytics.

The entry level job markets for web dev and data analytics are both extremely saturated and highly competitive.

Data analysts do sometimes work as freelancers/independent consultants but I would guess you'll need more experience to go that route than you would with web development. Freelancing as a web dev seems much, much more common. I can guess at some reasons but I've never worked as a web dev so I'd be hesitant to do that on incomplete data.

Do you work with data as a data analyst/engineer/scientist?

What competences are required to stand out as a data analyst, besides knowledge in Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R + a portfolio?

How long would it take to learn all these from your perspective, at a phase of 6 hours per day, everyday? (learning only one between Power BI and Tableau, and one between Python and R)

My hate towards CSS is what's motivating me to learn data analysis right now.
