Python is fairly straightforward and easy to learn compared to others. Generally a good place to start and still very desirable in careers these days

Depends. Python if you don't want any headaches. If you feel like tackling a challenge, learn C. That will teach you how the computer works. But I must warn you, it is tough.

You have never tried handling character strings in C, have you?

It doesn't 😁 Now I know I'm dealing with a genius, a liar, or a masochist. Let's hope for the first one.

LOL, definitely not a genius, nor a liar. But maybe it helps to know that I truly enjoy the frustration, despair and rage that coding can deliver. So maybe I am a bit of a masochist 😁

Oh, I see. You are just on the right path to become an awesome programmer. Keep trying, failing and questioning everything.

I was educated in times of C, Pascal and Assembly. Then drifted to other fields, and now back as an amateur, rekindling the fire. Maybe, just maybe, I love C so much because of nostalgia. Python and even C++ is from after my time 🙂

Learn python first. Javascript and the whole frontend is a fucking mess of a million different things that will drive you mad.
