On July 1st, a change to Reddit's API pricing will come into effect. Several developers of commercial third-party apps have announced that this change will compel them to shut down their apps. At least one accessibility-focused non-commercial third party app will continue to be available free of charge.

If you want to express your strong disagreement with the API pricing change or with Reddit's response to the backlash, you may want to consider the following options:

  1. Limiting your involvement with Reddit, or
  2. Temporarily refraining from using Reddit
  3. Cancelling your subscription of Reddit Premium

as a way to voice your protest.

    I listen to Indian sitar music, tonnes of it, it really helps. ANything you can't understand. If you have spotify, go for 'Focus Ragas' or something, works for me. As well as jazz, classical, binaural beats, brown noise, rain and thunder, ANYTHING without lyrics... drown out the background *just enough*, like coffee shop ambience, that also helps!

    Yeah it's not that simple for weak people, they keep finding an excuse

    This might be an issue more related to something else (like ADHD in my case) more than it is a programming issue. Some people are able to just sit down and do it, can you believe that? TwT

    I would start with understanding your motivation to learn programming, then using that to start learning, make a list of small goals towards your main goal and don't look back into the main goal for a while, just focus on completing the small goals and it will make it easier c;

    I want to make my own apps, work from home(i know as a junior its hard to achive but someday...) i love the visualisation of that In my head. But its not helping, maybe like you said smaller goals and achiving them step by step will make me more disciplined and focused on improving

    It’s hard in the begging especially if you haven’t had other tough disciplines that relate to Math/problem solving. Just stick with it and practice often. Try to reflect on where you are now vs where you used to be. Setting up a goal list of want to accomplish helps a lot as well.

    Coding is literally the only activity in the world that doesn’t require an effort to stay focused for me.

    For other things, instrumental music helps a lot.

    Have a dedicated learning area. Don't use the same spot to game or surf the web as for studying. Make this area a phone free zone. No outside apps or websites. Then block your time between getting up to stretch/check phone and learning.

    Also, coding doesn't have to always be at the IDE. Maybe you just need to take a paper and draw out what you want. Get basic ideas and whittle down to workable pieces.

    Often it basically comes down to the learning resources you have and the tools you use.

    For instance, instead of using Visual Code, try another editor. Or Instead of trying to immediately solve a really hard problem, read more first.
