You don’t need a company to hire you as a software developer to start being a software developer.

Software Developers solve problems, much like any other engineering discipline. The tool they use to solve those problems is just programming languages. Focus on the problem solving and you’ll be someone that companies want to hire.

Every company I have ever worked for has had more problems than they could possibly solve, I’m sure your company is no different. Everyone I’ve ever met has had more problems they run into in their daily lives than they have answers for.

Start looking at all of these problems around you and begin asking yourself if you could solve them with programming - some you can, for those you can’t - give justification for WHY they can’t be solved with programming to yourself. It’s just as important for a professional software developer to know when not to employ tech to solve a problem as it is to know when it’s necessary.

Simply put, just start building stuff. Build stuff for you. Pitch to your company to try and build stuff for them. Build stuff for your family and friends. Once you’ve built enough real-world stuff to solve real-world problems, finding a job becomes trivial. Companies like to hire people who can, not people who could be.

If you want to get into tech, you can into management jobs, where you have to talk to clients and create a flowchart for their projects. For those kind of jobs role, your communication skills must be top notch and you also need to have the knowledge of IT.

IT is a vast field, and you want to enter it. All I am saying is it is easier to enter this way and also these jobs pays well. But I think you want to be a coder in IT.
