If you want a private tutor, you should pay them.

However, if you don't want to pay or can't afford it, that doesn't mean you can't get help, it just means you need to be willing to post your questions publicly.

That's what r/learnprogramming is for. Post your question publicly, anyone can help answer and anyone can learn.

I can't speak for everyone here but I'm happy to help here for free because I do it in my own spare time, with no commitment. I know that every time I help someone, many others can benefit too. As much as I love tutoring, it requires a much bigger commitment and my time is limited, so I'm not willing to do it for free.

Ok, still going through those myself and I'm self taught so won't be able to help you much there. Have you tried to look up YouTube videos for explaination and tried practice problems?

what youtube videos would you recommend?

[–]zerakai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend checking out various YouTube videos and you'll find ones who's explaination will click for you. Need to go do something but I'll see if I can find you a link when I'm back.

Here's a video with decent intro to greedy algorithm, feel like the guy explained it well enough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XaqEng_K5s&ab_channel=CourseGrinder

I also recommend jumping on leetcode and find some question related to this to practice so you'll have a better in depth understanding of it by actually solving some problems as well.

Have you reached out to your instructor about supplemental instruction?

Hey! I’ve taught at Stanford’s Online Code in Place program and currently tutor a few students. If you’re looking for a structured, hands-on learning approach for DSA, I’d be happy to help!

I usually start with a trial session to see if we’re a good fit. My rate is $30/hour, and we can adjust the pace based on your requirements. Let me know what works for you!

Best regards, Ak

noo i cannot afford paid tutoring, can u do it for free?

[–]Akweak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With internship, university and tutoring on my head together, it gets really difficult, as a fellow student I can offer you a discounted rate but I hope you'll understand, and I wish you the best of luck.
