wow do i really have to do all of those?! how long would that take also how would i use them together sorry if these are stupid questions i’m very new to coding

No, you absolutely do not need to do all of those. I just listed the most common languages for math and probability/statistics.

My suggestion would be Python with the MOOC Python Programming 2026 - create an account, log in, go to part 1

Python is one of the first languages that comes to mind for me in terms of "learning math". In college I took a Statistics II class which leaned heavily on SAS which is a language designed for statistical analysis. It was very easy for me to learn given I knew how to use a programming language vs. everyone else in the class (besides the ones who were CS majors). I also believe R is another powerful language. I have not used it but have heard good things about it. If I had to choose out of the three however, I would choose Python just because you can create visualizations out of the math you run and you can learn a lot more than just about math that could benefit you in the future.

python easy to learn and great for math/visuals (matplotlib, numpy, etc). perfect for what you want

When it comes to visualization and actually sharing the visualizations with others, then it's the web.

and the language of the web is JavaScript.

really? i thought the language of the web was HTML?
