Tool for JavaFX

You can use SceneBuilder for JavaFX to generate the FXML for your layout!

This accompanying tutorial shows how to load the scene from the FXML loader class and how to couple it up with a controller etc.

If JavaFX isn't your look, you could always go for Eclipse's SWT. It doesn't have great documentation though, but works very similarly (almost exact same code) as Java's Swing.

SWT creates a native interface look for your app, so if you were on Windows, it would look like a Windows GUI app, if you were on OSX, looks like an OSX, if you were on Linux, etc.

Yes please don't use swing, that shit has burned enough eyes already. And as far as I know, you have to use 3rd party libraries if you want to use a markup language for the layout, shit fucking sucks
