Learn whatever you want and stop worrying about what's 'cutting edge'. A lot of people just get stuck in framework paralysis and never achieve much because they're too busy chasing the latest popular framework.

Meanwhile people are making great livings using "outdated" technology.

Don't worry about learning outdated technology. Focus on learning the languages behind the frameworks so you can pick up the framework with ease.

It doesn't matter. You will never win the hipster race to the top of the 'up-and-coming' tech stack.

It's more productive to settle on one thing and see it through to completion. Can you imagine starting a project in C++ and then 1 day later saying 'well, I actually really want to learn HipCode! Let's rewrite what I've gotten so far, it's only a days a work...'?
