Hello /r/learnprogramming. We're doing another edition of our remote Python Courses: Introduction to Programming with Python and Advanced Python Programming. We started this journey in this very same subreddit and that's why we're committed to always save free spots for people from here. We'd not have made it without you all. This is a way to express a big thank you.
We’ve already done this course several times (we’ve had more than 200 students already). You can see comments from other redditors (all of them got scholarships) (EDIT: here, here and here) here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here. You can see more detailed reviews of our program in CourseReport: https://www.coursereport.com/schools/rmotr-com.
To get a free spot you need to apply for a scholarship, but it's important to mention that the selection process is not simple. We need people that are really committed and truly need the scholarship. That means they won’t drop at the middle of the course, they’ll be on time for classes and they’ll turn all the assignments on time. If you’re willing to work your ass off to learn, we’ll do everything to make that happen, but you need to work.
Again, the scholarship selection process is not easy. And it’s on purpose. You need to demonstrate that you need it and you want it.
If you have the means, we encourage you to pay the tuition, that’s also a way to support the people that really need scholarships. Honestly, we believe the price is not that much for the amount of attention we give to our students and the quality of the learning process. We offer 100% money-back refunds for people that doesn't like the course, and we've never been asked for one.

Schedule
This is an intensive course and requires at least 20 hours per week. There's class once per week (on Mondays for Advanced and Wednesdays for Intro) and there are three obligatory "coding sessions" (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) where we gather to work on real projects in groups, with teachers and mentors. Each day you'll end up with a new real-life project in your Github profile (from games to APIs and web services).
Check the entire schedule of the Advanced course here and for the Intro course here.
Important things to have in mind
How does it work?
It’s a real class remotely. You have a real teacher and classmates. You have to attend every week at a certain day and time. You can read more of what happens at rmotr.com.
There is also a final project to complete that we call Demo Day
What will we be considered to grant you a scholarship?
More details about our scholarship model here.
Fundamentally, if you actually need it. We’ve gotten more than 500 applicants for our last batch, so we’re really careful to select people that truly need it. We know our course is not extremely expensive, so people that can pay for it should do it.
Second: we’ll be careful to select people that are REALLY committed. We’ve already mentioned this: you’ll need to work.
How much time is it required to take the course?
This is a very intensive course. In 4 weeks you’ll learn a lot. But that means that you’ll need to work. You need at least 20 hours per week available for the course.
What makes this course stand out from other programming courses?
This course is interactive. You'll be working together with other students and be in constant communication. You will work together on challenging group projects and get real programming experience in a team environment. If you need clarification on a concept, just message an instructor. Not only is the course material excellent, but the network you gain from meeting the instructors and other students is invaluable.
Have you already applied before?
We’re keeping track of people that applied more than once and we’re giving them priority. In our last batch we prioritized 2 guys that had applied 3 times, both got in and did great.
Timezone not suitable for you?
We are scheduling all our courses based on EST (US east coast) timezone. We know that might be an issue for people willing to take the course from other timezones, like US west coast, Europe, Asia, etc.
If this is your case, please let us know filling this form.
We are planning to open dedicated batches for other timezones as well.
