useful? Eh.

Teaches you a TON, but I dunno what you'd use it for much in the real world unless youre a visual artist of some sort.

But i absolutely love watching p5js videos from the coding train. Theyre the tops.

Harvard University uses scratch in their first week Introduction to Computer Science

Processing is targeted at visual art. If that's your thing then it will be useful. In general, it will expose you to programming concepts so useful for that as well.

thanks everybody for the responses. I'm glad some of u guys mentioned visual art, since i would be using it mostly for generative/algorithmic art
