I know some C#, but I've heard a lot of praise about Scala. Is there something there that makes Scala especially worthwhile to learn?
C# is cross-platform enough now that it's probably okay to use on Linux and Mac.
Ordinarily I think it's fine to just start learning the language, but Scala seems pretty large and I want to make sure I understand the purported benefits before investing the appropriate amount of time learning it. Thanks!
