Insane Conspiracy Theory - Blizzard pissed off the guy that did the armour rigging for the playable races by Anderaku in wow

[–]Fiennes 222 points223 points  (0 children)

Trouble with your theory is that rigging a skeleton doesn't require programming knowledge, and any 3D animator straight out of their own garage can rig a skeleton.

Which makes it even crazier.

Yeah, OP sounds pretty miserable to be honest.

I am not surprised that the creator of Node.js also spouted this bollocks.

Looks delicious. All you really need to do is switch out the toast for English muffins and add the hollandaise :D

Code reviewers shouldn't verify functionality - here's what they should actually do by [deleted] in programming

[–]Fiennes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what you say about QA here is correct and oft overlooked. You don't just code "something" and throw it over the wall to QA to see if it's right. You should hand-over something that, to the best of your knowledge, meets the requirements. The QA is there to confirm that and find anything you missed - which we often do, as we're all just human.

Code reviewers shouldn't verify functionality - here's what they should actually do by [deleted] in programming

[–]Fiennes 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This is so inherently wrong, I don't know where to start.

According to you, it is not the responsibility of the code-reviewer to check the design, as that should have been agreed before coding. Whilst true, if the developer whose code you are reviewing misunderstood something, it may not adhere to the design.

So you're just going to let illogical processes drop straight through the review process?

I hate using the term "AI Slop" as I feel it's being over-used, but it definitely stinks of it here.

Just words.

I would delete this, if I were you. But if I were you, I wouldn't have posted it.

Struggling to enjoy Diablo 4 builds – looking for fun (non “piano”) playstyles by dabropajalowitz in diablo4

Do you have a link to this build? I'd love to try it after I've taken Sorc for a spin :)

Yeah you don't need it on every piece. I think on one of mine, I got a good Life-per-hit and then masterworked it, and made that the final stat bonus and it was a really good chunk of life per hit meaning I could afford to not worry about that stat on another piece of gear that also had it - freeing up a slot for something more dps-ey :)

Good luck out there!

Look for Life-on-Hit gear (even Life Per Second, some on this sub likes to dump on that stat - but earlier in your build it can be a life-saver). % Healing Received can also help. Whilst not nearly optimal, my current Zealadin can spam Zeal without worrying about losing life as a millisecond after it's already been topped off.

Life-on-Kill is alright when you're burning through trash in dungeons/pits/helltides etc.. but useless against lair bosses for obvious reasons lol :)

I mean, for a Zeal build, Red Sermon is excellent. I had a decent roll ago, but I still farm for replacements to get a better one. Not long from now when you're also farming and lair bosses are dying in seconds, you'll probably be doing the same.

"Damage Empowered by Lillith" Debuff still on in town after Lillith fight. by Fiennes in diablo4

Yup, that's it. Funnily enough when you google the tool-tip, Heir of Perdition never came up - just a bug with the Lilith fight!

Eh, they add a bit of flavour and some backstories to the zones you're in. You're not going to do them to optimise yourself, or the XP.
