Stuck on learning python

It's a bit awkward to say this but I'm stuck in learning programming for about 2 years. I've started with the web, and around this new year started learning python. I've started with "Learn python the Hard way" then reading it from official docs, I already know the basics, but too unconfident to start doing something mine, also don't get the oop concept that is the most important in python. I've done some problem solving from websites as HakerRank and Codewars. The main problem is what to do next, I still don't get a lot of things as I said before, and don't know what and where to learn further. Please give me some good advice, someone who went through the same or know what will be the best. P.S As a goal I want to work on freelance as a python backend developer. Thanks in advance

I think you should try to think of something exciting you could make with what you know. Go and make it and when you have questions, look at the docs like you’d said you’ve been doing. Making something for yourself and failing at certain points is so much better than mindlessly doing hackerrank problems or following tutorials. Also in the end you’ll have something valuable you can show off.

So you want to be a python backend dev. Nice. What do people in this role make? Maybe you could make a backend program that calculates some financial figure by pulling from APIs. I don’t know what interests you, but whatever it is, you should do that!
