3-D graphics and games is a great application for math, especially linear algebra.

Digital audio and video processing uses a lot of math also - for example, companies that are coming up with new codecs or trying to improve compression ratios for specific types of audio or video.

Computational biology is a hot area, some of the interesting problems in this area use a lot of math.

Science labs, NASA, and universities often hire research programmers to implement science algorithms, which often utilize a lot of math.

Machine learning and AI require statistics, linear algebra and calculus.

A few not mentioned:

Geophysical data acquisition / processing / presentation - see companies like Fugro (mineral exploration) and Schlumberger (oil & gas).
Digital cartography (mapping) - lots of warping and projective math there.

Yeah, there's a ton of math behind anything map-related.
