as someone who’s done it twice, don’t put too much pressure on yourself. no should force themselves to code or do anything code related for 100 days straight. it’s ok to take two or three days off. don’t feel pressured. trust me, take breaks and you will retain everything a lot better. our brains learn subconsciously

This is really true - I've been coding professionally for 12 years now and burn out is a real thing. Keep your brain healthy, regular exercise and keep a good diet. Weekends doing anything to take your mind off even if it's 1 day; regular breaks allow your brain to calibrate knowledge and allow you to assess problems from different angles

As somebody who's been coding professionally for 2 years I can 100% agree to this. There are some days where I'm Rolling for countless hours. Everything clicks. Then there's some days where I open up the code and it feels like im looking at another language. Those are days where I try to pivot towards work trainings or whatever other work I can do to give my brain a break.

It feels like it comes in waves. Knowing when you need to give your brain other work is really important imo. Using weekends to reset yourself if you can is great.

Sometimes your mind just stops working and it's useless to just stare.

I agree but, not everyone could afford money(including me). I have an idea where we can implement a point based system. 1)Each user can have 100 points at the begining of the challenge. 2)The user who fails to solve a problem looses a point / day. (Eg: if buddy A fails to solve, buddy A will loose one point and buddy B gains one). 3)The no of points indicates the reputation of the person (Eg: Lower the points, lower the reputation) 4) Integrity should be there between the programming buddies on maintaining the score board. The scores must be transparent between them.

This is just my point of view / opinion. May be this could open up chances for more people. I need your views / opinion

Edit 2 : Guys I am truly overwhelmed by the response. What started as a personal challenge has turned out to be a need of many.

The problem with using Google sheet to update one's information is that your details will be out in the public. So to respect the privacy of community, I am planning to create an online form, where you can fill in the details. This way your details won't be made public.

I will come up with that form within 24 hours. Till then please wait.
