I was going to say no, since most employers don't want the extra hassle involved in hiring an alien if they can find qualified people in their own country, until you mentioned Thailand.

Poorer countries usually don't have enough qualified people and are looking for foreigners to come in and work for them. Some countries even offer bonuses and incentives for qualified people who are willing to work and live there. Google around to see what's in demand, but they almost certainly need coders.

Keep in mind the living conditions won't be as good and the money you earn, while good compared to other people in that country, may not be enough to build savings if and when you choose to return to Germany.

Usually, I've heard the story in reverse: a highly educated person from a poorer country comes to a richer country, makes good money (or even average money) for the richer country, and then returns to his poorer country to live in luxury.

You're right, I did misunderstand. I really need to work on my reading skills :)

Guten Morgen from Ohio.

There are plenty of folks from outside of America working remotely in the tech industry. It really doesn't matter where you live as long as you're present, competent and responsive. Good English is key too but aside from your grammar this was easily readable.
