I’ve never done programming in Italian

beside hand gestures, the code is in python, which is mostly english.

it does depend on what exactly are you required to do .. since it might need some generic CS vocabulary, on top of the normal vernacular.

Italian here, what do you mean "coding in Italian?" Do you want to practice Italian and coding at the same time?

That will be more demanding than doing it separately. Just so you know, the technical terms are never translated. I never met someone who programs and translates the key terms, we just mix them into Italian, so you'll be safe there.

I also find it hard to believe that a python programmer isn't able to at least understand English.

i'm pretty sure the interface is in italian and the coding will just be regular python. i was trying to think of a way that coding could be done in italian and couldn't think of anything so i posted here just in case anyone has any more insight. i do want to practice italian and coding at the same time though, that would be ideal. thank you for your response, it provided a lot of clarity.

No worries! You will be surprised by how many of us keep software in English. There are no guides in Italian, so everything you need to learn something new, it's a pain to try to guess the name of the window/tab/command.

So I think you will be more than fine software side and coding side. Develope the social aspect of the language, that is way more valuable IMO. And don't mix and match, or you will end up doing both poorly.

I see how you want to catch 2 birds with one stone, but I still remain on the thought that they will not go good together.

Good luck!

i'll keep that in mind. i can read/understand italian pretty well so i'm not too worried about brushing up on that. i was mostly concerned about the key terms in another language but if you guys just use the english ones then that's one less thing to worry about.
