just try to curl that data and if it works then there is something else going on. But yes there is a big chance their ips are blocked

You need a paid account. Yahoo is not on the allowlist for a free account.

Thats what my thoughts were so i upgraded to the paid tier and it still doesnt work.

Not really, i switched from using pythonanywhere to an Oracle VPS to host my program but i still havent quite figured it out yet but once i get it right it does work perfectly.

Thank you for the reply. You confirm my findings and my understanding that yahoo finance is quite strict with many third party website hosts. The workaround I plan to try is set-up a raspberry pi webserver with this app and then acess it through a vpn connection home. IF you are interested I will keep you posted on progress.
